Bicycle Gears Stamped Leather Hair Barrette

This textured bike gears hair barrette is made from upcycled scrap leather and features embossed discarded bicycle gears. Black natural dye with a silver surface bring out the texture with a unique metallic appearance, but not heavy like metal. Durable for any occasion (other than swimming), great for everyday use. Unique steampunk/rustic cyclist/gear head look, sure to spark conversation. 
This leather hair clip is handmade to order from upcycled pre-consumer scrap leather, with your choice of metallic patina finish: gold, warm antique silver, copper, or blue (pictured is the gold). Text is stamped in block letters, punctuated with coordinating metal rivets. The leather is heavy grade, providing a sturdy and strong hold for a variety of hair types. Available in 2 sizes: large and extra large.

Extra Large is great for long, thick and curly hair

Or should I say, crafts-woman-ship? ;) I wear my own barrettes almost every day, and can also attest to their practical, functional use and durability. The clips themselves are large, high quality, sturdy French-style metal barrette clips with tension bar. The leather is very securely attached to the clip with metal rivets that will be nearly impossible to remove.
